A Strength and Mobility Coach, qualified Personal Trainer and international professional breaker. Your quiz results show that jumps, elevation and explosive power are key areas to develop.

Three things Cian wants you to work on

Use these before your call. They are the same principles your programme would be built on.

Tip 1

Build strength before chasing height

The biggest mistake dancers make is only practising jumps. Focus on getting stronger with exercises like squats, split squats and Romanian deadlifts. The stronger your foundation, the more force you can produce.

Tip 2

Train explosiveness while you're fresh

Plyometrics and jump training should come at the start of your session, not the end. Keep the reps low, focus on maximum effort, and prioritise quality over quantity.

Tip 3

Don't neglect your mobility

Good ankle, hip and thoracic mobility allows you to generate force more efficiently and land safely. Spending just 5-10 minutes on mobility before training can improve both performance and recovery.
